we are raising our maiden funding round

YCombinator just dropped their Requests for Startups (RFS) for Spring 2025 and shared a list of ideas worth working on.
Guess what the first idea is! "A Secure AI App Store" - something that we have been building at Light over the past few months. Check out the RFS details here. Here's what Garry Tan has to say
What is Light Store?
The Light Store sits “above everything” and replaces or parallels the typical app marketplace (like Google Playstore) and is tailored for LightOS. The Light Store will help with App & Agent Distribution, Optional System Apps & Services, Security & Privacy Integration, Ephemeral/Cloud-Native Apps, Cross-Device Compatibility, and Subscription Management.
How does Light Store aim to help developers?
Light Store is designed to empower developers by providing a robust infrastructure that simplifies the creation and distribution of AI applications.
Unified Data Access
Through the Connected Data Architecture (CDA), developers can access user data in a controlled and secure manner. This architecture ensures that data is unified and orchestrated responsibly, without direct app-to-app communication. All interactions are mediated by the Central Intelligence Layer (CIL) and executed by Agentic Action Models (AAM), promoting seamless integration and personalized user experiences.
Simplified Development with APIs
Light Store offers developers simple APIs to access essential system functionalities, such as AI acceleration hooks and integrated memory management for large language models. This infrastructure allows developers to focus on creating innovative features without the need to build foundational components from scratch.
Enhanced Security and Privacy
The platform incorporates advanced security measures, including the Anonymous Verified Authentication System (AVAS) and Private Data Cut-off (PDC). These features ensure that user data is protected, and developers can build applications that respect user privacy preferences.
Intelligent Information Rendering (IIR) and Devices Adaptive Interface (DAI)
With system services like IIR and DAI, developers can transform raw system or app data into actionable, user-facing UI components and provide responsive design at the OS level - the UI automatically adapts to the device’s screen size, orientation, and input methods. Developers can focus on core functionalities instead of working on mundane tasks like button padding, alignment, etc.
Streamlined Distribution and Monetization
By participating in the Light Store ecosystem, developers gain access to a marketplace that facilitates the distribution and monetization of their AI applications by enabling payment processing tools.
By leveraging these features, developers can efficiently build, distribute, and monetize AI applications that offer personalized and secure experiences to users.
